ATR is a 100% Mexican company established in 1993 in Guadalajara as a research and technological development laboratory specialized in telecommunication, software, hardware and mechanical-industrial design, capitalizing on the great potential of the electronic industry that was blooming in the western area of the country.

The first digital jukebox to be developed by ATR was the Nyx, which integrated music in a CD quality digital format which could be updated through satellite. These digitalized jukeboxes not only revolutionized the market where mechanical systems operated by records were still in use, but also marked the tendency toward high-quality digitalized content equipment.

Later on, Calypso, Vektor and Viento models were created to complete the ATR line of products under Arion trademark.

Vektor and Viento models were enhanced, besides having integrated music content, they also had the capacity to display video and karaoke titles. Once again, ATR was at the vanguard of the industry.

In 1999, ATR granted the distribution of its products to its joint-venturer Consorcio Global, leader in the jukebox operation and distribution. This alliance represented the definite consolidation of the leadership of both key players.

Our alliance created a more powerful and successful market presence in the country where an extensive platform of Arion jukeboxes are operating in cafeterias, bars, taverns and restaurants.

ATR Research and Development laboratory is continuously at the vanguard of the industry creating new technologies and software. In 2007, ATR launched a new model of digital jukebox, Vektor II. This new model is the fruit of 14 years of constant research efforts.

Currently, ATR possesses a plant in Guadalajara which is operated by highly skilled engineers and technicians where jukeboxes are manufactured to serve domestic as well as Central and South American customers.

It also has a finished product warehouse, a music programming department, a parts warehouse, a testing laboratory and an industrial design area.

Faithful to its ethical corporate culture of honesty, ATR executed an agreement with Somexfon (Mexican Society of Phonograms, Videograms and Multimedia Producers, S.G.C.), representative of record companies in Mexico, in which both parties negotiated the rights to use the titles in ATR’s jukeboxes. Thanks to this agreement, Arion jukeboxes are sold with all the legal rights of music, video and karaoke titles.

The quality of Arion jukeboxes has been recognized by several prestigious publications such as Replay Magazine, Mundo Ejecutivo, Revista Telesoluciones, Revista Entrepreneur, as well as several newspapers.

ATR was also awarded the annual prize for Best Product in the Multimedia Category by PC Magazine. It was chosen among the best 15 products of the computer industry for its outstanding performance. This recognition has also been granted to international level enterprises such as IBM, HP, Adobe, Apple, among others.
